Hill Country Conservancy is proud to bring the Violet Crown Trail Pop Up Park concept to Austin!
Austin is famous for many things, one of which is our culture of our citizens getting outdoors and experiencing nature. Our Greenbelt and Zilker Park and many trails are famous destinations and the new 30-mile Violet Crown Trail will soon be the single longest trail system of its kind in the region.
We invite Austinites and Austin visitors alike to take a moment to “recharge” with the Violet Crown Trail through our Pop Up Park!.
What is a Pop Up Park?
A temporary destination for guests to rest, recharge and connect with nature. The Violet Crown Trail Pop Up Parks create an experience immersing guests into a scene from the Violet Crown Trail itself through a temporary park scene. Guests can enjoy a little recreation with distractions such as corn-hole, water, hammocks for the ultimate relaxation experience, a cellular device charging station and a little vitamin D compliments of the great outdoors.
Partnering with Brandywine Realty Trust
Sometimes it take a village to accomplish monumental results. Brandywine is thrilled to be a sponsor and supporter of Hill Country Conservancy’s efforts to build the 30-mile Violet Crown Trail.
The first six miles of trail, from Zilker Park to Sunset Valley, are already open. As the trail begins to stretch further south, it extends through urban wildlands and winds through some of the most complicated pieces of the overall trail development. Here’s where Brandywine wanted to be involved.
Brandywine’s purpose is to shape, connect and inspire the world around us through expertise, the relationships we foster, the communities in which we live and work, and the history we build together. As we develop our site, Garza Ranch, it’s imperative both the Hill Country Conservancy and Brandywine partner together to ensure the overall outcome are resources to best serve Austinites.
Where can you find them?
Our parks will pop up periodically throughout the year in various locations around Austin. Follow the Violet Crown Trail and Hill Country Conservancy on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter or check back here for to find out where and when each Pop Up Park will appear!
